Our samples are either packaged by the perfume house, or hand-poured here at Smallflower and presented in a spray vial. Each vial is filled to a variable volume to reflect the concentration of the fragrance being sampled.

About the Fragrance:

Imagine the world suddenly discovering itself to you, through the forests, the water of the Baltic, the light filtering through the leaves of centuries-old trees. Imagine hearing for the first time and forever the voice of the earth.

In a remote place, passing through silent woods and natural shadows, I closed my eyes and thought: “What does the voice of Nature smell like?”

Last Season was conceived, created and arranged, listening at each of these stages to the album Dark Wood by David Darling and reading Walden, by H.D. Thoreau

Immortelle, Chamomile, Artemisia, Laurel, Canadian Pine, Galbanum, Alga Fucus, Mate, Hay, Cistus, Costus, Vetiver, Labdanum, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Oakmoss, Tobacco, Cedar, Guaiacum, Musk, Birch, Myrrh, Olibanum, Leather, Oud, Castoreum (reco).

Our fragrance samples are available for purchase online only. No samples will be available in store at Merz Apothecary.

Same Day pickup for curbside orders containing samples is not available.
